Pattern Shears should have thin blades. Make sure they are for FOIL, and NOT for LEAD.

Studio Pro Pattern Shears
These can be found at Hobby Lobby.

Leponitt Foil Pattern Shears

Other brands are thinner-bladed, such as Mika, and G.A.I., if
you can find them.
